"Growing good food, and people"

Tyler Williams

Growing up in Eastern Washington, my parents always had a fairly expansive garden and a passion for growing their own organic foods. It was here, as a young and impressionable kid, I gained my appreciation for the growing process. After bouncing around through different colleges and universities, I found myself at the Evergreen State College from which I earned a Bachelors of Science. I had long been looking to get back into gardening while never having the space for it, when I received the opportunity to work for Left Foot Organics. Left Foot, as an institution, has a special significance to me. In 2001, my mother gave birth to Nicholas, my youngest brother who has Down's syndrome. It is refreshing to find a place in todays world whose goals are to not only give back to the community, but to go even further and help enrich the lives of individuals with disabilities.

Storm Debris Clean Up Thanks!

Many thanks to Roy & Betty Wilbur and Jim Billi for coming to the farm to help with storm clean up. The Wilburs got the trees cut up and loaded into the truck and Jim and Jill worked on disassembling the greenhouse frame; no small task. There is more to be done but we got a start on it.
