"Growing good food, and people"

Lydia Beth Leimbach

Always on the move, Left Foot's Farm Production Manager Lydia Beth Leimbach has been farming organically since 1992. After receiving her BS in Organic Agriculture from The Evergreen State College in 1994, Beth spent five years working with Debbie Leung at Ninth Heaven Herbs and Vegetables, an organic market and CSA farm specializing in salad mix and Asian vegetables. She then had the honor of working as the Gardener for the Nisqually Tribe for two years, bringing fresh food to the community, re-establishing traditional foods in the landscape, and teaching organic gardening. From 1994 to 2003, Beth served as the Farm Caretaker for The Evergreen State College Organic Farm. She is a member of the Heartsparkle Players, an improvisational acting troupe; plays keyboard in Bevy; and directs the choir for Temple Beth Hatfiloh. Beth joined Left Foot in 2003 and looks forward every year to learning more from the land and the people at Left Foot.

Storm Debris Clean Up Thanks!

Many thanks to Roy & Betty Wilbur and Jim Billi for coming to the farm to help with storm clean up. The Wilburs got the trees cut up and loaded into the truck and Jim and Jill worked on disassembling the greenhouse frame; no small task. There is more to be done but we got a start on it.
