Jane Jones

Jane serves as the Employment Support Coordinator at Left Foot Organics, providing oversight and supervision to Crew Leaders and Growers on the farm. Jane ensures that Growers have a meaningful experience at Left Foot that enhances their skills and prepares them for future jobs and independent living. She helps them to create goals for their personal and professional development on the farm that address their individual needs and interests, while also supporting the essential work of growing and selling quality organic food.

Jane is a native of Missouri, receiving her Bachelor of Social Work at Southwest Missouri State University, and her Master of Social Work from Atlanta University. She is a member of the Academy of Certified Social Workers and is licensed in the state of Washington. When she’s not working at Left Foot, Jane serves as a pro bono consultant to communities of faith across the state who are interested in developing free medical clinics in their communities.

Prior to joining Left Foot, Jane served as the Executive Director of Olympia’s free medical clinic. Her background also includes serving as a social worker in child welfare; adult individual, family, and group therapy; in- and out-patient adolescent mental health services; and in the field of corrections. She is an active community volunteer as well. Her current volunteer passions include working with the residents and board of Camp Quixote, a local community homeless encampment, and providing pet therapy. Jane and her whippet, Charlemagne, are both certified Pet Partners through the Delta Society, and regularly visit patients at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia. Jane and her husband live in the Olympia area and are now traversing life as empty nesters.
